]]> Visitors to the Cobb Galleria Centre campus now have an easier time finding their way around. The Centre recently added exterior wayfinding signage, highlighted by the renaming and labeling of our parking decks.

The Centre’s three parking decks are now labeled Red, Green and Blue. All three decks provide direct access to the main entrance to the Cobb Galleria Centre. See our campus map for their exact locations.

The new signage also includes directional signs to parking on Galleria Drive, as well as pedestrian directional signage to the convention center, restaurants, shopping, SunTrust Park and the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.

The Gallery event space also has new exterior signage.

]]> Monday, December 9, 2019: This month, Acworth’s Mayor Tommy Allegood kicks off the giving season as the keynote speaker at Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s December First Monday Breakfast. He will be discussing the importance of giving back to the community. Attendees will also hear how Cobb Community Foundation helps magnify your impact as well as see a sneak peak of the results of an independent study of Cobb’s human services needs and the resources meeting those needs.

The program also includes the official launch of the Chamber’s new brand. Attendees will get to see the new logo and messaging, plus participate in a fun brand activation. The December breakfast marks the last First Monday Breakfast at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Friday, December 13, 2019: Join more than 1,500 of the Atlanta Area’s top business and community leaders as they celebrate Scouting’s success in 2019, and pledge to support its future. This year’s luncheon, chaired by Carol Yancey, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Genuine Parts Company, will feature a keynote address by Ed Bastian, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Air Lines. The Golden Eagle Luncheon is named in honor of the donors at the $1,000 level and above.

]]> Sunday, November 3, 2019 – The Atlanta Chapter of Les Dames d’ Escoffier Green Tables Committee awarded Executive Chef/Culinary Director Nicholas Walker with the Sustainable Green Chef Award.

The accolade is given to the chef who demonstrates sustainable efforts during the 19th Annual Afternoon in the Country. It awards those who go above and beyond by exhibiting Farm-to-Table, Sustainable and Eco-friendly practices.

Afternoon in the Country featured Chefs from Atlanta’s top restaurants paired with the area’s best farms to create a tasting event. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships for women in the culinary fields, Georgia’s farming community and organizations that feed the hungry.

Chef Walker, sourced by Comfort Farms (pictured above with Comfort Farms’ Founder Jon Jackson), created a 24-hour Sesame Cured Pork Shoulder with Caramelized North Georgia Candy Roaster Squash, Duck Fat and Miso Braised Collards, Japanese Sweet Potato Chip and Togarashi Spice.
